Like my Vantage tea set? It took me a week to make the cup and saucer. I made it from gumpaste and let it dry for two days. I don't think that I was able to paint the motive of the flowers so I diligently made a few stencils to use on the teapot, cup and saucer. But it did not fit. I made a few more and it was so hard to make the stencil stay on the cup because the cup was small. Then my husband said something that made me realise that I have to believe in myself. It was two in the morning and he said that I can do this and I can hand paint it and make it beautiful. He told me that he believed in me and he had seen me draw before and know that I can do it. So, I took a deep breath and start painting the saucer first and when its finished, he gave me a kiss and told me that I'm was very talented and he knew I can do it. Here's the picture of me painting the saucer.
I'm glad everything is finished. I made the teapot using cake and let the fondant dry for 12 hours before painting it then I made the rose and daisy. The table cloth is from fondant and I used a flower cutter to make flower print on the fondant then I paint it with edible red sheen. I love the table cloth. Here's some other pictures of the cake. The cupcake is actually chocolate balls I made using chocolate cake crumbs. I love doing this cake and it is a repeat order from my friend Ana, the one who ordered the football theme cake for her husband, Halmi that I did before. This time the cake is for her best friend Dee. I really do she loves it because I did it with lots of love...haha. Okay, I have another cake for tomorrow and I have to hurry...see you soon. Adios...
